
Apple’s Steve Jobs have announced in a special event today with lotsa new stuff that is going to excite fans, including a new refresh across the entire iPod product lineup, iOS4.1-4.2, iTunes 10 and Apple TV. Here is a breakdown of the things brought up
New iPods Refresh


The new iPod shuffle, smaller, colorful, clip-and-go. With buttons, VoiceOver, and playlists. 2GB at S$78

iPod Nano, similar design to the new Shuffle with touchscreen, color-coordinated wallpaper on 1.5-inch display with 240 x 240 pixel resolution. Available in 8GB or 16GB at S$228 or S$278

iPod Touch, slimmer than the previous generation
Facetime support with front and rear cameras. Rear camera is capable to 720p video recording
Retina display resolution (960 x 640 at 326ppi), uses Apple’s A4 processor
Available in 8GB, 32GB, 64GB, at S$328, S$428, S$588
Pre-orders begin today, available next week for all models.

iTunes 10 will be available beginning today, supports Apple Ping, a social networking built-in to iTunes for music
and yes, a new icon for iTunes after a decade of usage. (laughs)

- iOS 4.1, available next week, offers various bug fixes, HDR photography, HD Video upload via Wi-Fi, improved performance on 3GS, Game Center
- iOS 4.2, available somewhere in November is more for the iPad. Hello Multi-tasking, AirPlay (streaming of audio video to devices), Wireless printing support with a Print Center applet that sits in the dock and lets you manage your print jobs.
