In our review, we use the kit lens that comes in the package. It is a 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS zoom lens, it uses the new Sony
E-mount and is able to accept 49mm filters.
We are swayed by the quality of photographs, particularly when shots are taken at dim light and at high ISOs. You can check out the photos below which are taken in ISO 1600 at Intelligent Auto mode.
Sony’s Alpha NEX-5 does a good job at this and also at the exceptional performance in continuous shooting mode - a speedy seven frames per second though the time to clear the buffer took a fair bit of time.
