Sony unveiled that social apps will be integrated with their upcoming PlayStation Vita. The announcement came during Gamescom which the company has mentioned that social apps such as Facebook, Foursquare, Twitter and Skype are included with the system.

A new PSP model (e1000) was announced as well. It comes with a slight change in the layout and most importantly, cheaper. The downside is the new PSP does not include wireless functionality which means connecting to the PlayStation Store is done via Sony’s Media Go software.

The price ? 99 Euros. We will update again once local prices are announced.

The PlayStation 3 will be getting a global price slash, SCEE President and CEO Andrew House announced that the home console is now “more accessible than ever thanks to a price reduction”. That’s right, PS3 will be selling at 249.99 Euros (RRP), 249 USD, 24,980 yen with immediate effect.

A PlayStation 3D display has also been confirmed at a price of 499 euros, made available this Fall in Europe
