Using a mixture of technologies such as augmented reality with Kinect fusion and a few others, a nicovideo user has succeeded in using augmented reality without markers to do a tech demo of getting Miku to do strolls in the park with him.
The user uses a Asus Xtion(Kinect like device) and a pair of Wrap920 VR video glasses for the full immersion effect.
