Fate/Extra CCC’s Lancer is female (CV: Rumi Okubo); introduces herself as an ‘idol-class servant’ to Saber
I believe this is the first female Lancer to appear in any of the Fate video games.
Marvelous AQL, publisher of Imageepoch (developer) and Type-Moon’s (story) PSP JRPG Fate/Extra CCC, today updated the game’s official website to introduce one of the new characters that will make her debut in CCC.
Meet Lancer, a verbally-abusive little minx who, as you’ll see in the short movie below, is somehow related to Rin Tohsaka.
This version of Lancer is voiced by Rumi Okubo (Yuruyuri’s Chinatsu), and apparently enjoys teasing and messing around with Saber: in the video: Saber is shocked when Lancer introduces herself as an “idol” servant.
“Idol?! That can’t be… how could there possibly be a class like that, outside of the existing seven classes? You’re a cunning one,” Saber remarks.
Although Lancer normally uses a spear or lance as her physical weapon, she is also said to be well-versed in a variety of skills, which I’m guessing has something to do with the song that Saber says she is entranced by near the end of the short movie.
Guess we’ll find out when Fate/Extra CCC for the PSP drops in Japan, on February 21, 2013.
