Paraphray, the developer for upcoming PSP rhythm game Megpoid the Music♯ streamed on the Web today the game’s opening movie, which features Maybe Maybe, an original track composed, arranged and written by a duo whose names fans of K-On!’s music might find familiar.
Hiroyuki Maezawa composed and arranged Maybe Maybe, and the lyrics were written by Emi Inaba (稲葉エミ).
Some of the K-On! songs that this specific pair has worked on include Pure Pure Heart (ぴゅあぴゅあはーと), Tokimeki Sugar (ときめきシュガー), and Curry Before Rice (カレーのちライス).
Separately, Hiroyuki Maezawa (る前澤寛之) worked on the composition for Fuwa Fuwa Time (ふわふわ時間), and Emi Inaba was also responsible for the lyrics of songs such as Honey sweet tea time.
Apart from the opening theme, Paraphray also revealed two more popular Vocaloid Gumi songs that will make it into the game: Tsugi Saku Hana no Iro wa (次咲く花の色は which translates to The Colour of the Flowers That Bloom Next) and Kitchen de Kappa ga Tanishi Yude Teru (キッチンでカッパがタニシ茹でてる or Kappas are Boiling Slugs in My Kitchen).
Tsugi Saku Hana no Ira wa is produced by Takanon (タカノン).
Kitchen de Kappa ga Tanishi Yude Teru, on the other hand, comes from “Ie No Ura de Manbou Ga Shindeiru P” (家の裏でマンボウが死んでる P which means “A Sunfish is Dead at The Back of My House P”) who’s also known as the easier-to-remember Takahashi You (タカハシヨウ).
Megpoid the Music♯ for the PSP is slated to be released in Japan March 28, 2013.
An overseas release has yet to be announced.
