I’m a little disappointed that Dio – really the true star of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (in all of its various parts) doesn’t get an entire PV trailer dedicated to all of his magnificence.
But the way this third PV for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle ends (by highlighting a key moment in Part 3 of Hirohiko Araki’s long-running manga series) more than make up for the lack of screentime for Dio.
Before we get to that though, the trailer briefly introduces the lead characters from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Parts 3 to 6 first, starting with Part 6: Stone Ocean’s Jolyn Kujo and Hermes Costello, and working its way back to Part 3 where we get to see Avdol, Hol Horse, Kakyoin and Polnareff in action.
In case you missed it, here are the game’s first and second PVs as well. The first one is just an announcement trailer with brief snippets of gameplay, while the second offers a deeper look at Kotaro Kujo (Part 3 protagonist) and young Joseph Joestar (Part 2’s hero).
Young Joseph Joestar’s exploits can be seen in the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime that’s currently airing on Japanese TV (and taking the nation by storm, might I add). An aged version of Joseph Joestar also appears as a lead hero in Part 3: Stardust Crusaders, which was adapted in two sets of OVA series released in the mid 90’s and early 2000’s respectively.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle for the PlayStation 3 is slated for release sometime in 2013.
