We know how stressful manga production is. But with Mangirl’s latest preview that exudes cheeriness and moeness, you might just cast the manga industry’s reality aside.

The upcoming TV anime series is adapted from a 4-panel manga created by Kagari Tamaoka. It follows the story of a group of girls without any experience on manga editing. Regardless, they run towards their dream of creating Japan’s biggest manga magazine. Nothing runs smoothly but they don’t stop working hard.

Directed by: Nobuaki Nakanishi
Series written by Reiko Yoshida

Moemi Otaka as Tsugumi Haraki
Ayaka Ohashi as Ringo Nishijima
Kanako Miyamoto as Hana Sasayama
Yuri Komagata as Aki Torii

This slice of life/comedy anime series is produced by Dogakobo (the studio behind Myself; Yourself and Koihime Musou).

The New Year is indeed filled with laughter with its premiere next month along with the other comedy anime titles. Mangirl starts airing on January 2 (just a few days away from now).
