This ‘Wired X Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Limited Edition’ watch was designed with Raiden as a motif

This stylish timepiece has got its details and colours themed after Metal Gear Rising Revengeance‘s Raiden.

I don’t really see the resemblance though. But that doesn’t make me want this any bit less.

A collaboration between Konami Digital Entertainment and Seiko Watch’s Wired fashion watch brand, only 1,000 pieces of the Wired X Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Limited Edition watch will be made.

Kojima Projection’s Yoji Shinkawa, art director for the entire Metal Gear series, came up with the timepiece’s design.

The watch comes with a gold metal plate in the box, which bears an illustration that Shinkawa worked on. There’s also a message card from the Metal Gear art director included inside the package.

All this, for the handsome price of 36,750 yen (including tax). Available exclusively from KonamiStyle, which does not ship internationally. Not quite as affordable as the Metal Gear 2013 Calendar, but then again, only 1,000 pieces would be made.

The watch ships sometime in mid February next year, right around the time Metal Gear Rising Revengeance comes out in Japan (February 21, 2013).

Internationally, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance is slated to be released February 19, 2013, for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles (but not in Japan).
