Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F (PS3) – ‘Senbonzakura’, ‘Rin-chan Nau!’, superimpose Miku into your photos
This week’s issue of Weekly Famitsu magazine has got a first look on Senbonzakura and Rin-chan Nau!, the final two of six new songs that Sega will add to the PS3 version of Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F.
Not only that, the new issue also has details on a photo-superimpose functionality that will be included as part of the PS3 version’s Live Studio mode, which will allow you to “take pictures” with Miku and gang. Sort of.
The way the photo-superimpose feature works is that when you head into Live Studio mode, there is an option to load up photos that are stored on your PS3′s HDD. Using one such photo as a background, you can then superimpose one of the Vocaloid stars featured in the game on top of your photo, and pose him or her alongside the photo’s subject (well, alongside you, if it’s a picture of yourself). Superimposed photos can then be saved onto the PS3′s HDD and transferred elsewhere.
Famitsu did not have any visuals to demonstrate exactly how the superimpose feature works. So all we’ve got for now are the following visuals for Senbonzakura and Rin-chan Nau! to look at.
Senbonzakura / 千本桜
Kurousa-P’s Senbonzakura is a pretty big deal. Not only has it been one of the most popular user-created EDIT songs since the launch of the PS Vita rhythm game, the song has seen over 4.8 million views on Japanese video sharing site Nico Nico Douga, leading it to be picked as the source material for Dwango’s 10th Nico Nico Musical this year.
And the Sega feat. Hatsune Miku Project development team knows those facts well.
Which is probably why Sega has seen fit to make not one, not two, but a whopping six Vocaloid modules (character skins) themed after the song. That’s more than halve of the 10 new costumes Sega is adding to the PS3 version, and one new costume for each of Crypton Future Media’s Vocaloid virtual idols as featured in the game.
In the picture you see above, from left to right the modules are called:
- Ichi no Sakura: Ouka (壱ノ桜・桜花) [Hatsune Miku]
- Ni no Sakura: Kochou (弐ノ桜・胡蝶), [Kagamine Rin]
- Ni no Sakura: Senbu (弐ノ桜・扇舞) [Kagamine Len]
- San no Sakura: Fuuka (参ノ桜・楓香)[Megurine Luka]
- Rei no Sakura: Sousetsu (零ノ桜・蒼雪)[KAITO]
- Rei no Sakura: Benitsubaki (零ノ桜・紅椿)[MEIKO]
Rin-chan Nau! / リンちゃんなう!
The two accompanying modules for Owata-P’s Rin-chan Nau! are:
- Rin-chan Aishitai 1-Go (リンちゃん愛し隊1号 or Rin-chan Affection Squad member #1) [Hatsune Miku]
- Rin-chan Aishitai 2-Go (リンちゃん愛し隊2号) [Megurine Luka]
