Visual novel Steins;Gate Phenogram of Linear Restraint (PS3, X360) now has a confirmed release date. Publisher 5pb today announced that the title, a psuedo-sequel to the original Steins;Gate (2009), will go on sale in Japan April 25 instead of the previously vague “Spring 2013” release period.
The regular edition of the game will go for 7,140 yen in Japan, while a limited edition – which includes a replica of the “SG001” phone that protagonist Rintarou Okabe uses in the series – will sell for 11,550 yen.
Although the replica is not a fully-functional mobile handset, it will actually play back some character voice samples when a certain button on the device is pressed. No details were given as to which characters’ voices would be featured here.
