Arc System Works isn’t quite done re-iterating Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R yet.
It was only a couple of weeks ago when the 2D fighting games publisher unveiled a whole slew of balance changes to the game’s characters in an improved “Version 1.10”, made after factoring in arcade players’ feedback.
But now it looks like they’re ready to go through the re-iterative process once more (ASW’s approval ratings just went up in my book); today they’ve announced a Version 1.10A update for the fighter that will be rolled out to arcade cabinets sometime in Spring 2013.
What’s changed in Version 1.10A? For now, not a whole lot; Arc System Works isn’t ready to spill the beans yet. The only thing they’ll say right now is that the new version will support Sega’s Aime smartcard for saving players’ win/loss records and accessing guild features through the 2D fighter’s dedicated online portal.
For the rest of the nitty-gritty, you’ll just have to go and play the new version yourself to find out: Starting tomorrow, February 14, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R Version 1.10A will go on location test – for an indefinite period (they have not decided an end date) – at six arcades in Tokyo.
