April is a big month for the Steins;Gate franchise.
The official website of the Steins;Gate movie has announced that Steins;Gate Fuka Ryoiki no déjà-vu is scheduled to premiere on April 20 in Japan.
The movie will introduce a brand new story which happens after the true end. So it’s recommended that viewers finish the entire TV anime series before watching the movie.
Steins;Gate Fuka Ryoiki no déjà-vu’s opening date is close to the release date of the franchise’s upcoming visual novel entitled Phenogram of Linear Restraint. The fully-voiced adventure game developed by 5pb will be released for the Xbox and 360 and PlayStation 3 on April 25.
Steins;Gate: Phenogram of Linear Restraint will be available in two editions:
- The regular edition costs 7,140 JPY (about 78 USD)
- The limited edition comes with a replica of Okabe’s mobile phone. It is priced at 11,550 JPY (around 125 USD).
