Last year, mangaka Matsuri Hino announced about Vampire Knight’s final arc. It was finally launched last month, and LaLa magazine has revealed that the production of the manga will cease on May 24. Readers will witness the ending in the July issue of the monthly shoujo magazine.
Vampire Knight was serialized nine years ago. An anime adaptation was aired, consisting of two seasons, back in 2008.
The story centers on Yuki Cross, a high school student prefect who wants to prove that humans and vampires can live in harmony. She attends a school where humans attend the day class and vampires attend the night class. Her duty is to protect the secret of the night class students by watching the school grounds at night.
