The forthcoming Gintama anime movie is going to premiere this summer after all!
As we have previously reported, the seiyuus said that they were worried about the Gintama movie not coming out as scheduled during last year’s Jump Festa. Now, you can worry no more because a visual art published in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine finalises the details, including the official title and release date of the 2013 Gintama movie.
The second feature film is titled Gintama the Movie: Final Chapter – Be Forever Yorozuya. It is slated for a nationwide premiere in Japan on July 6. Gintama’s mangaka Hideaki Sorachi wrote the brand new plot of the movie himself. Presently, no details on the story were disclosed.
Rumour has it that the TV anime is ending soon because Aikatsu will be taking over its time slot starting in April. If the rumours are true, then the movie will most likely serve as the series’ final chapter.
