Wada, through Famitsu, revealed that the progress of HomeTown Story is almost 60 percent done and it is scheduled to launch this year. The game will be released on the 3DS and mobile gaming platforms. Following its release in Japan, Natsume will launch the game in North America while Rising Star Games will handle its European distribution.
Toybox (Wada’s own gaming studio) and Natsume (the developer behind Harvest Moon) have teamed up for this upcoming game. The original soundtrack was done by the famous game composer Nobuo Uematsu. Atsuko Nishida (Pokemon) is in charge of the character design.
In HomeTown Story, players take the role of a village merchant. You have to grow your shop and be friends with the villagers. You are not alone in doing all the work because you have Pochikal (the cute flying creature) as your sidekick.
If you previously enjoyed Harvest Moon games, then HomeTown Story is surely something you can look forward to.
