Nisio Isin (writer of Bakemonogatari, Katanagatari, Medaka Box) will be releasing a new series “Koyomimonogatari” this coming May. This is a new volume insertion in the “Monogatari” series and would be inserted before the planned Owarimonogatari. The book will feature 12 prose stories of Koyomi Arragi’s final year of high school.
The Monogatari series is a collection of Japanese light novels written by Nisio Isin, along with illustrations by Vofan. The novels share the common suffix “-monogatari“.
The story centers around a third-year high school student, Koyomi Araragi, who survived a vampire attack before the beginning of the story. Koyomi finds himself mixed up with all kinds of apparitions, gods, ghosts, mythological beasts, and spirits in the series.
Nisio Isin’s Bakemonogatari, Nisemonogatari, Nekomonogatari and Katanagatari novels have been adapted into anime. The Bakemonogatari prequel (Kizumonogatari) is also to be adapted.
