Golden Time centers on a college student by the name of Banri Tada. He lost all of his memories before his high school graduation due to an accident where he fell off a bridge. During the accident, the “Spirit of Banri Tada” comes into existence. It carries all of Banri’s memories before his graduation.

The light novel series was first launched in 2010. It was serialized in Dengeki Bunko Magazine. Its manga adaptation, on the other hand, was serialized in Dengeki Daioh in 2011. Light novel illustrations are by Komatsu Eeji (Key animator for High School of the Dead), while the manga is being drawn by Umechazuke.
