When Real Action Heroes Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- F, a 295mm posable figure described as a “Sega X Good Smile Company X Mediacom” collaboration, was first announced at the Wonder Festival back in February this year, representatives had said the tentative-but-not-confirmed release date for it was a vauge “sometime in 2013”.
Today, Sega is finally ready to announce an official release date for the popular virtual singer’s debut as a Real Action Heroine: the figure will hit stores in Japan January 23, 2014.
Although the official date is a little bit off from the speculated “sometime in 2013” date, we think fans will not mind waiting just a little longer to bring the Real Action Heroes version of Miku home if it means the folks at Mediacom and Good Smile Company will have that much more time to perfect the sculpt.
Mediacom is responsible for the poseable parts of the RAH Miku (which uses a standard “RAH Female Body” base), while Good Smile Company is handling the facial sculpting. Additional parts that come in the package include a 1/6 scale DX7 keyboard.
In the meantime, if you happen to be in the Tokyo or Chiba prefectures of Japan this weekend, you might want to head on down to the Nico Nico Chokaigi 2 convention that’s starting tomorrow at the Makuhari Messe to ogle the figurine – in the flesh – with your very own eyes. Pre-painted display models of RAH Miku will be exhibited at the Sega booth.
