The 20th anniversary celebration of Sailor Moon is making 2013 a special year for fans of the franchise. Aside from the new anime adaptation of Naoko Takeuchi’s manga announced last year, a Sailor Moon figure by S.H. Figuarts is slated for release in Japan this coming August.
This dynamic figure lets you recreate various poses of the popular heroine, including the pose that she executes every time she utters her signature line, “In the name of the moon I will punish you!”
S.H. Figuarts’ Sailor Moon figure stands at 14 centimeters and includes the following parts:
- Facial expressions (3 pieces)
- Interchangeable left hands (3 pieces)
- Interchangeable right hands (5 pieces)
- Sailor Moon’s talking black cat, Luna
- Moon Sticks (2 pieces)
- Parts for the “Moon Tiara Action” attack
The figure is priced at 4,410 JPY (55.82 SGD).
North American Sailor Moon fans also have a reason to rejoice during the franchise’s 20th anniversary celebration. Bandai’s official distributor in North America, Bluefin, has confirmed the release of this figure in August/September. The U.S. MSRP will be announced soon.
A special site has been opened for upcoming Sailor Moon figure. You can check it out for further updates.
Now that a highly poseable Sailor Moon figure is coming this year, I’m hoping that Bandai would make things more magical in the future. A Tuxedo Mask figure, perhaps?
