Just before the release of their best-of album, Yui Ogura and Kaori Ishihara have left the voice actress unit StylipS.
According to an announcement from Lantis, Yui Ogura and Kaori Ishihara have graduated from StylipS due to schoolwork and schedule constraints. As for their future plans, StylipS is preparing to restart with new members, while retaining their slogan, “A seiyuu unit for our generation, seeking to fulfill dreams together”.
Anime fans should recognize StylipS, who performed the opening theme of Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru. Their first best-of album, The Lightning Celebration, will be released on April 24. Ogura and Ishihara have voiced characters in many different anime, including the currently airing Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko. In addition, they have their own duo named YuiKaori, and have released seven singles together.
Although they are going their separate ways, Ogura and Ishihara will maintain their good relationship with the other members of StylipS, Arisa Noto and Maho Matsunaga.
This is sad news, but StylipS, Ogura, and Ishihara will all keep working hard and eventually make a comeback, so those of you who are fans should keep supporting them.
