A few additional details on the anime adaptation of Arc System Works’s 2D fighting game franchise BlazBlue has come out of Arc Fes 2013 today. The series is officially entitled ‘BlazBlue Alter Memory’ and it will air on TV in the Autumn 2013 anime season.
An official website for the anime has also opened today, revealing the show’s first key visuals:
Here’s a clip of the anime’s announcement from the Arc Fes livestream running earlier today, along with some footage of BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasm’s console-exclusive characters, Yuki Terumi and Kagura Mutsuki, in action:
BlazBlue Alter Memory will be directed by Hideki Tachibana, who formerly directed five episodes of Azumanga Daioh and several episodes each of A Certain Magical Index and A Certain Scientific Railgun.
Seiji Mizushima (Slayers Next, Shaman King, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Natsuiro Kiseki) will serve as the anime’s Assistant Director. Deko Akao (Mysterious Girlfriend X, Arakawa under the Bridge) is in charge of series composition.
The anime’s script will be co-written by Deko Akao and Tatsuya Takahashi (The World God Only Knows, The Idolm@ster).
BlazBlue Alter Memory appears to be a co-production between two anime studios: teamKG (of Hanayaka Nari, Waga Ichizoku: Kinetograph fame) and Hoods Entertainment (Mysterious Girlfriend X).
Arc System Works’s Toshimichi Mori (BlazBlue series producer) also said he will be helping with the series composition, and will supervise the anime’s production.

Currently the official website lists voice credits for the following characters: Ragna the Bloodedge, Noel Vermillion, Jin Kisaragi, Rachel Alucard, Hazama, Taokaka, Litchi Faye-Ling, Iron Tager, Tsubaki Mayoi, Kokonoe, and Makoto Nanaya.
