A couple of weeks back Capcom announced that the 11-disc series soundtrack included in the extremely limited (and pricy) Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Set released last year in the US, would be coming to Japan sans the figure and the games and everything else.
In addition to that, Capcom also announced a 6-disc Darkstalkers series soundtrack at the same time.
At the time, although the specifications of what each soundtrack box set would contain was revealed, Capcom did not show any actual photos of what the premium items would look like.
Until today, that is.
Today Capcom has revealed that Yosuke Murata, the manga artist behind EyeShield21 and One-Punch Man, will be doing the honours for the box sets’ package illustrations.
The illustrations were said to be drawn specially for this occasion, and on top of being featured on the packaging itself, a limited postcard, with a serial number printed on it, will also be included with each box set.
Both the Street Fighter an Darkstalkers series soundtrack box sets are available for pre-order exclusively from the e-Capcom online store starting today.
In a bid to encourage early pre-orders, customers who lock down their orders before May 20 will also be entered into a lucky draw where one winner from each of the pool of customers pre-ordering the SF and Darkstalker box sets will receive a Chun-Li or Morrigan character illustration print done by the art team at Capcom internally.
Both box sets will ship on July 10.
The “Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Sound Box” (ストリートファイター 25周年 サウンドBOX) is priced at 11,550 yen (including tax), while the “Vampire Sound Box” (ヴァンパイア サウンドBOX) is priced at 9,450 yen (also includes tax).
