Season two of popular anime series Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! (also known as Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions) is currently in production, the latest issue of NewType magazine revealed via a pull-out poster featuring the first key visuals for the show.
As the June issue of Monthly NewType magazine doesn’t actually hit newsstands until this Friday, May 10, in Japan, there’s no way we can actually verify if this is true, or if someone actually had the time and was delusional enough to create a mock-up poster of what the visuals for a season two might look like.
Fortunately, we don’t have to.
After news of the second season’s production leaked onto the Net, the official Twitter account for Chuunibyou Koi ga Shitai! confirmed the rumours.
In addition, they also revealed that the official website for the anime will be updated “tomorrow, in the middle of the night” in order to make this very same announcement.
Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai (中二病でも恋がしたい!) is a romantic comedy anime about two high-school students, Yuuta Togashi and Rikka Takanashi, who tend to dream up adolescent delusions of grandeur (which is what Chuunibyou, or Middle School Grade Two Disease, roughly translates to). The two eventually end up bonding due to those tendencies.
The first season of the anime series ran in Japan from October 4 to December 19, 2012.
