The latest movie from the legendary director Makoto Shinkai is coming later this month, but you can watch the first five minutes of the beautiful love story right now.
The Garden of Words (Kotonoha no Niwa) is centered around a high school boy named Takao, who is training to be a shoemaker. One rainy day, he skips school to draw in a quiet garden, where he meets a woman named Yukino. From then on, the two of them continue to meet each other in the same garden every rainy day. They gradually form a deep relationship, but at the same time, the rainy season gradually comes to an end…
The Garden of Words is directed by Makoto Shinkai, who is responsible for beautifully drawn masterpieces like 5 Centimeters per Second and Children Who Chase Lost Voices. Takao is voiced by Miyu Irino (Jinta from AnoHana), and Yukino, by Kana Hanazawa (Kuroneko from OreImo).
