Critically-acclaimed GameCube and PS2 JRPG Tales of Symphonia, as well as its sequel on the Wii, ToS: Dawn of the New World, may be getting remade or remastered in HD for the PS3, if a report on Spanish site Koi-Nya is to be believed.
Speaking to Koi-Nya on the sidelines of the recent Expomanga 2013 in Spain’s Madrid city, Tales series producer Hideo Baba responded to queries regarding a Tales of Symphonia: Perfect Edition that was rumoured to contain both ToS games, with jazzed-up HD visuals for the PS3.
Although he was not in a position to confirm or deny the rumours, Tales series producer Baba said that if it comes out, it would be “a representation of the dreams and hopes of the fans, who have long been wanting it.”
Call it a tease or whatever you will. If the rumours are indeed true, there’s a good chance we’ll hear about the official announcement early next month, at the Tales of Festival 2013 event at Yokohama Arena on June 1 and 2.
