Lawson, the convenience store chain recognizable by their blue and white striped uniforms, is kicking off summer with some fun anime campaigns.
Madoka Magica and Tamako Market are getting ready to welcome fans of the shows to Lawson stores this summer. That means lottery prizes, items, and sometimes, in the case of spring’s Dragon Ball Z campaign, themed food. As far as food goes, there’s no announcement yet for Tamako Market, but for Madoka Magica the usually themed packaged foods seem to be making an appearance.
Madoka fans can also look forward to the face that it will be the first to have its campaign. Starting June 25 and running until July 8, Lawson will run a promotion featuring Pringles and goods. Three flavors of Pringles in two sizes (134g and 64g) will be offered in a special can featuring the iconic magical girls. The designs are yet unreleased, but the flavors featured will be Sour Cream and Onion, Lightly Salted and Korean Kimchi. The larger cans will retail at 298 yen, while the smaller ones will go for 148 yen without tax.
A pocket memo pad in two different editions will also be distributed during the Madoka campaign as well. One will feature Goddess Madoka and Homura, while the other will feature Mami, Sayaka and Kyouko.
There are no released goods yet for the Tamako Market campaign, but there are dates. Fans will have to wait a little longer as it starts July 2, but finishes later on July 15. The promotional art promises fans should have something fun to look forward to.
