A promo video for the TV anime adaptation of Tomonori Inoue’s science fiction seinen manga series Coppelion has been put up at the show’s official website today. The PV reveals that Angela (who was at AFA Indonesia last year) will be providing both the opening and ending themes to the anime.
The official website has other furnished additional details on the voice cast: Yui Horie, Maaya Sakamoto and Rikiya Koyama have joined the cast, playing the roles of Kanon Ozu, Shion Ozo, and Onihei Mishima respectively.
Coppelion will begin airing in Japan in Autumn 2013.
Plot in Coppelion
In 2016 a meltdown of a nuclear power plant creates a big catastrophe in Tokyo. 20 years later, the city has become a ghost town due to the high levels of radiation. From that area a distress signal is received, the Self-Defense Forces dispatch 3 girls from the special unit Coppelion to search for survivors. But why aren’t they wearing any protection against radiation?
