Ikemen (cool guy) characters are almost always one of the most popular characters in a show, and now they’re being ranked by some female fans who know their stuff. Who exactly is the coolest of cool?
The least cool character at number five is Kaede Rukawa from the basketball manga Salm Dunk! The reasons for voting for him vary from “it’s a character I really like!” to “he’s just so cool.”
Coming in fourth place is One Piece’s Roronoa Zoro, ready to slash his way into hearts with his cool fighting style. It’s his sword fighting style that swayed many fans, and for one fan it’s simply just that “when you look in his eyes he just seems so manly.”
Shota Kazehaya from Kimi ni Todoke is also cool enough to garner a spot as one of the coolest characters. Apparently he’s as popular in real life as in the series he comes from. Female fans liked him for reasons such as “who else treats everyone so equally when they meet face to face?” and “he’s eloquent.”
The protagonist of Gintama, Sakata Gintoki is also proving he has what it takes to be one of the coolest of the cool. His habits were the talk of fans with some pointing out that “he’s not really ikemen, but he’s really stylish and that helps me overlook how muscular he is…yea he’s really stylish.”
And at number one on the survey is Sebastian Michaelis. It’s a little hard to be beaten out when you’re one hell of an ikemen. Female fans liked him because “he’s so cool and can do anything”, “he’s cool and good at killing people,” and “of course it’s his face. Overall the actions he performs are beautiful and awesome.”
Honorable mentions in the poll include Sanji [One Piece], Black Jack [Black Jack], Tatsuya Uesugi [Touch], Monkey D Luffy [One Piece], and Kenshin Himura [Rurouni Kenshin].
Did any of your favorite ikemen make it on the list? Or are none of these characters cool enough for your tastes?
