Black Butler will be getting yet another live action stage musical, and this time, it will be focusing on the Jack the Ripper arc. The new stage play was announced by the Black Butler Musical’s official website and it unveiled the two actors who will be playing the main characters Ciel Phantomhive and Sebastian.
Yuuya Matsushita will be reprising his role as the “Black Butler”, Sebastian Michaelis while 13-year old Nayuta Fukuzaki will be playing the role of Sebastian’s master, Ciel Phantomhive. The play will be directed by Kamen Rider Gaim director Nobuhiro Mouri and written by Yoshiko Iseki.
Madame Red will be played by Akane Liv while Motohiro Oota will be playing Charles Grey. Yuusuke Hirose will be playing Charles Phipps while voice actress Yuka Terasaki (Hunter X Hunter’s Zushi) will be playing Mey-rin.
Cast members from past Black Butler musicals will be reprising their roles like Takeshi Terayama who will be reprising his role as Sharp Hanks and Shun Takagi who will be returning as Fred Aberline. Takeuya Uehara will also be reprising his role as Grell Sutcliff along with Yoshihide Sasaki as Viscount Druitt and Teruma as William T. Spears.
Noboru Washio will be playing Baldroy while Takuya Kawaharada will reprise his role as Finnian. Shuuhei Izumi meanwhile will be returning as the Undertaker.
This will be the third Black Butler stage musical and it will be shown in the Roppongi Blue Theater in Tokyo from September 5-23, 2014 before heading over to Osaka’s Umeda Arts Theater from October 2-5, 2014. Advance ticket sales for the Tokyo shows will begin on July 27, 2014 and will cost 8,500 yen per ticket. The Osaka shows will have their advanced ticket sales begin on August 3, 2014 and each ticket will cost 8,800 yen.
