The lovable trio of Takeo Gouda, Makoto Sunakawa, and Rinko Yamato from Ore Monogatari! (My Love Story) are headed to the big screen for a live-action movie adaptation, and that very live-action movie adaptation has inspired the original source manga’s 10th and latest tankoubon compuilation volum cover, which features a teary-eyed Takeo.
The live-action inspired manga volume 10 is set to be released on October 13, 2015, just two weeks before the movie will premiere in Japan. Here is the very manly trailer:
The hulking main character, Takeo Gouda, will be played by Ryohei Suzuki (Hentai Kamen’s Kyousuke Shikijou), who bulked up with his own personal training regimen just for the role and gained over 30Kg in weight. Currently 32, Suzuki will try his best in acting as a 15-year old gentle giant. Mei Nagano, who previously appeared as the live-action Rurouni Kenshin’s Tsubame Sanjo, will be playing his tiny lady love, Rinko Yamato. Finally, Takeo’s best friend and neighbor, Makoto Sunakawa, will be played by Kentarou Sakaguchi. I can now imagine Ryohei Suzuki saying “Yamato Sukiiii-desu!!!” in a very deep voice.
This live-action Ore Monogatari movie is set to premiere this October 31, 2015 and will be directed by Hayato Kawai and its script will be written by Library War’s Akiko Nogi. It will be based on the best-selling romance manga by Kazune Kawahara and Aruko.
