ERASED, also known as Boku dake ga Inai Machi, has proven to be one of 2016’s best and greatest anime. Based on Kei Sanbe’s bestselling mystery manga, the series has garnered much praise from fans and critics alike. Now, the thrilling manga will be getting itself a live-action series thanks to Netflix.
Netflix, regarded as the world’s largest streaming service, will be streaming the live-action series across 190 countries starting this winter. Reo Uchikawa will play the younger Satoru Fujinuma, while Yuuki Furukawa plays his older version. Live-action Death Note’s Mio Yuuki will play Airi, while Rinka Kakihara will play Kayo Hinazuki. The cast also includes Shigeyuki Totsugi as Gaku Yashiro, Tomoka Kurotani as Sachiko Fujinuma, Hidekazu Mishima as Sawada, and Jin Shirasu as the adult Kenya Kobayashi.
Aside from the TV anime, the ERASED manga was also adapted into a live-action film. Hopefully, this new Netflix series would fare a lot better than the movie did. More details about this new manga-based Netflix series soon, so stay tuned.
