Bandai Namco Entertainment is opening its first VR Experience facility with VR Zone Shinjuku center. They revealed that they will be opening it on July 14. Its facilities will include Dragon Ball VR “Master the Kamehameha”, Evangelion VR “The Throne of Souls”, Ghost in the Shell Arise: Stealth Hounds, and Mario Kart Arcade GP VR.
Aside from their Shinjuku facility, Bandai Namco is also planning to expand to 20 other countries, with the first one opening in London this summer. Other VR locations that they’re planning to expand on include Singapore, Dubai, and New York.
Digital art group NAKED will be doing the projection mapping for the facility for Pacman, and the interior will feature a “Center Tree” that will allow users to interact with the building itself. Bandai Namco Entertainment claims the facility will be Japan’s largest virtual reality center. The facility is located in the Kabukicho district in Shinjuku, Tokyo where the Shinjuku Tokyu Milano building once stood.
