Spring 2017 is now winding down a bit, and as we’re finally in its final month, Newtype Magazine reveals which of the season’s anime was talked about the most on Twitter.

KADOKAWA ASCII Research Laboratories gathered the results online by counting how many times the anime was tweeted about. They not only counted how many times the anime’s official titles came up, but also their abbreviations and tags like AoT/SNK for Attack on Titan, or Saekano for “How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend”. They gathered the the results from tweets made between April 16 and May 23, 2017. Of the many anime airing during the season, the magazine’s website revealed the Top 10, and they are:

10 – Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor – 99,433 tweets

9 – Natsume’s Book of Friends 6 – 100,954

8 – Hinako Note – 103,301

7 – Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend Flat – 119,101

6 – Star-Mu Season 2 – 129,620

5 – Frame Arms Girl – 143,079

4 – Idol Time PriPara – 177,419

3 – My Hero Academia Season 2 – 230,902

2 – Eromanga Sensei – 337,813

1 – Attack on Titan season 2 – 582,350

Oh come on guys, you saw this one coming! And it’s not really surprising that good’ol Attack on Titan won via landslide. That being said, the real contest was for 2nd place, and it seems that more people are talking about Eromanga Sensei on social media, than My Hero Academia… which may or may not have something to do with Eromanga Sensei’s intensifying Waifu Wars.
