The fourth anime for the Full Metal Panic! franchise, Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory, was originally slated for Fall 2017. However, after the official website removed that Fall 2017 listing in its website, the anime’s release came into question. But fret not, because during the Anime Expo 2017 event in the United States, Full Metal Panic! light novel author Shoji Gatoh, and illustrator Shikidouji revealed when we’ll finally expect to see the anime.
During the event, the Full Metal Panic! panel revealed that the new release period would be in Spring 2018. While the wait would be a bit longer, it now gives fans a sigh of relief that we finally know when they will show it. The panel also showed a new PV, and according to ANN, the PV had:
The promotional video indicated that the light novel villain Kurama and Amalgam soldier Lee Fowler will debut in the anime. Additionally, Mao will be promoted to Lieutenant with a new uniform, and several new mecha — including the anime appearance of Cyclone — will also appear.
Fans have waited for this latest sequel series for over a decade now, so when the anime got delayed indefinitely, there was cause for panic. But now that it has a new release period, fans would now have to do something they’ve been quite familiar with in the FMP franchise, and that is WAITING.
