Hiromu Arakawa’s Silver Spoon manga may be ending, but it’s starting to go the way of Hunter x Hunter and Berserk… though its hiatuses don’t really last for years on end. This is because issue #34 of Shogakukan’s Weekly Shounen Sunday magazine has revealed that the series is going back on hiatus after just three issues.
The beloved farming manga just came back from hiatus earlier this month, and there’s still no clear timetable for the manga’s return. The manga will be going on its latest hiatus starting July 26, when Shogakukan releases Shounen Sunday’s 35th issue.
Arakawa has actually been planning to end the manga, and has been heading to its “imminent” climax since 2015. However, the frequent hiatuses have slowed down the manga’s end.
This comes as Arakawa has just returned from a different hiatus, which lasted for more than six months, which started last September. The reason for her frequent hiatuses have been the health of a family member, who she has been taking care of.
