Osaka-based AKB48 sister group, NMB48 went missing for their latest music video, however, it turns out that they were right here in Singapore! In fact, their latest music video is titled Masaka Singapore, with the lovely Japanese idols enjoying some of the country’s sights and sounds.
The video starts off with people wondering where NMB48 went, before shifting to Siloso Beach. It also features Chinatown, Marina Bay Sands and National Gallery Singapore. The song’s title, Masaka Singapore, roughly translates to “No way, it’s Singapore”.
Singapore, as well as other Southeast Asian countries have attracted plenty of notable Japanese visitors. In fact, Japanese artistes often visit the region not only to perform, but also to relax.
