Best known for her role as Honoka Kousaka in Love Live!, seiyuu Emi Nitta was supposed to arrive here in September for the CharaExpo 2017 event over at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre Hall. However, she seems to have suffered a herniated disc, which prompted her to cancel here appearance for the event next month.

The event’s official website apologized to fans and announced her health issues:

Thank you for your continuous support for Emi Nitta.

Emi Nitta has been suffering from chronic backaches for a while now and her condition has worsened after her live performances lately. After consulting medical experts, it has been confirmed that she is suffering from herniated disc.

The medical experts consulted recommend that she is to avoid long distance flights and after careful consideration, we have decided to cancel her appearance at CharaExpo 2017 on the 10th of September.

We would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused to all fans and staff who have been looking forward to her appearance and we would like to seek your kind understanding.

As for other event appearances planned for her, there will be no changes.

Additionally, for inquiries on this matter, please kindly direct them to Difference Inc., Emi Nitta’s new agency with effect from 1st September, 2017.

The seiyuu’s official fanclub’s twitter page, Emiring, also issued an apology to fans, especially the ones in Singapore who won’t be able to see her for CharaExpo 2017.

The Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre Hall in Singapore will be hosting CharaExpo 2017 on September 9 and 10. Nitta was supposed to make her appearance on the event’s second day.
