What if an entire high school class of 32 is forced to play a deadly King’s Game, and if they don’t comply to the king’s orders, they die? That’s the premise of Nobuaki Kanazawa’s Ou-sama Game, also known as King’s Game. Now, that very novel is getting itself its very own TV anime adaptation.
The original novel’s story begins when an entire high school class of 32 people receive a message on their cellphones from a person known only as the “King.” The messages contain orders that the students must obey, or they risk the punishment of death. With their lives on the line, the students soon find out that the orders are getting more and more extreme as time goes on.
According to the magazine announcement, the anime will premiere in October 2017. This means it will be part of the Fall 2017 anime season, which begins after the current summer 2017 season ends. More details about this new anime will be made in the days to come.
