Looks like Hiromi Takashima’s yuri manga, Kase-san and Morning Glories, is getting yet another anime project. According to the anime’s official Twitter Page, which they also posted in English for the foreign fans, said “New Kase-san Anime will be coming in 2018!! Thank you, everyone!!”
The manga previously had an anime project back in May, however, it was only for a 5-minute animated clip. Takuya Satou, who directed Girls Beyond the Wasteland, directed the clip, while Re:Zero’s Kyuta Sakai worked as an animator.
But while the manga only got a 5-minute clip, it received plenty of fanfare from yuri enthusiasts around the world. As for the announcement, they didn’t reveal the format of this new anime project yet, so we still don’t know if this is a TV anime, movie, OVA, ONA, or yet another 5-minute clip. More details will be announced in the days to come.
The manga follows a love story between two girls who are polar opposites of each other. Yamada likes to take care of the school’s flowers, yet she’s also shy and clumsy. On the other hand, Kase-san is the school’s track star, and is athletic and outgoing, Their lives change when they manage to meet.
