The live-action Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure movie premieres in Japan today, and to get fans all hyped up, they revealed two new commercials. The first commercial is known as the “Drama version”, while the second one is the “Stand Version”. Both of these videos highlight Jousuke’s stand, Crazy Diamond.
The movie will follow Part 4 of Hirohiko Araki’s beloved manga. Kento Yamazaki was previously revealed in costume as Josuke Higashikata, the 4th Jojo and main character of the movie. They also revealed actor Yusuke Iseya in costume as the third Jojo, Jotaro Kujo. The live-action film will be adapting part 4 of the long-running series, and will be making its premiere on August 8, 2017. It will also be shown in Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
The film will be directed by Takashi Miike (Crows Zero, Live-action Terraformars) and will be a co-production between Warner Brothers and TOHO. It aims to cover the entire fourth part, which follows the adventures of Jousuke, with Jotaro acting as his mentor. Because Part 4 is actually quite long, TBS producer Takashi Hirano has said that they are looking into making sequels for the film to fit the entire story of part 4. In fact, the movie’s official title is JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond wa Kudakenai Dai-Ichi-Shou (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable Chapter I). However, no sequel movie has been confirmed thus far.
