Fuji TV has been dedicating a special marathon called FNS 27-Hour TV. They have been running this marathon every year since 1997, and this year, they have a history theme. Several of the channel’s variety shows, dramas, news, sports programs, and anime are participating on this grand undertaking too! The channel recently revealed new visuals for the participating anime, and feature them in a historical setting.
The participating anime include Dragon Ball Super, Chibi Maruko-chan, One Piece, and Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kouen-mae Hashutsujo, or KochiKame for short. It features Luffy in the Sengoku Period, Goten and Trunks in the Yayoi period, Maruko-chan and friends in traditional Japanese clothing, and finally, Ryou as the famous Samurai, Sakamoto Ryoma.
These characters will all be going together as historical figures in the marathon, as they explain the history of Japan. This 27-hour marathon will kick off this September 9, 2017, however, they didn’t reveal what time they will air the anime portion of the marathon itself.
