After getting a TV anime adaptation in 2015, as well as a spin-off anime last year, looks like the story of Nanoha and Fate’s daughter is about to end. Mangaka Takuya Fujima has announced in his blog that the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid manga is about to end next month. To be exact, the manga’s final chapter will be released in the December 2017 edition of Comp Ace magazine, to be released in Japan on October 26.
Together with co-mangaka Masaki Tsuzuki, Fujima launched the Nanoha spin-off manga in 2009. It then went on to inspire a 2015 anime adaptation, as well as a spin-off anime titled ViVid Strike. The manga follows the adoptive daughter of Nanoha and Fate, Vivio Takamachi, as she learns magic and martial arts.
But fret not folks, because Fujima and Tsuzuki will be launching a different Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha manga in December. Titled Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha Reflection THE COMICS, the new upcoming manga will feature an original side story based on the new Nanoha Reflection film.
So as we say goodbye to the fan-nicknamed “First Family of Yuri” (because Vivio has two moms who get shipped with each other more often than not), we get to see more of classic Nanoha and Fate with the new Reflection manga. It will launch on December 26, 2017.
