Can you describe the entire history of a long-running franchise in just one minute? Well, a new video tries that feat exactly, and it’s for Hiromu Arakawa’s Fullmetal Alchemist. The video combines the three major adaptations for the work, including the original manga, the TV anime adaptations, and even the upcoming live-action movie.
The video is really for the upcoming live-action movie, and it also features new footage from that film. And just in case you’ve missed it, here’s its English-subtitled trailer:
The movie is based on the hit manga by Hiromu Arakawa, and it will follow Edward Elric, played by Ryousuke Yamada, and his brother Alphonse. It also stars Tsubasa Honda as Winry Rockbell, while Dean Fujioka plays Roy Mustang. As for Alphonse, he will be a completely CGI character. The film is directed by live-action Ping Pong film director, Fumihiko Sori, and was previously filmed in Italy.
And when the movie premieres on December 1, several participating movie theaters will be distributing a special Fullmetal Alchemist manga written and illustrated by FMA and Silver Spoon creator, Hiromi Arakawa!
