Figurex has been churning out new life-size figures left and right lately, and that includes statues like Re:Zero’s Ram and Rem, as well as OreImo’s Kuroneko and Ayase. Now, Local Japanese news and entertainment show Catch!, presented a look at how they make these life-size figures, in a segment from the program called Suuji de Wakaru Hanjou no WAKE. The program is divided into three videos, which are now available on YouTube. The videos take a look at how they make a life-size figure of the Vocaloid character named Yuzuki Yukari.
As with most figures nowadays, they start things off by designing it in a computer before making it part by part in a 3D Printer. After painting the figure, they then assemble it piece by piece.
Figurex is actually part of figure makers, PulChra, and they also release smaller scale versions of their life-size statues since not everyone can afford them. They also made life-size figures of Mr. Osomatsu’s sextuplets and Non Non Biyori’s Renge.
