What if you’re a member of the Yakuza, and your boss also happens to be an idol producer? What happens if he forces you, a guy, to dress up as a girl, and become an idol? Well, that certainly changes things, huh? This is the premise of Jasmine Gyuh’s hilarious comedy manga about yakuza, idols, and traps, Back Street Girls. And now, Weekly Young Magazine has revealed that the anime is also getting itself a TV anime adaptation!

The manga follows three Yakuza underlings as they try to act like actual female idols… after being forced by their producer boss of course. It follows them as they face the challenges of hiding their true selves from their ever-loving fans.

Amazing what Makeup can do, huh?! So far, Weekly Young Magazine hasn’t announced much details yet, but expect the staff or the magazine to reveal more details in the days to come.
