Dragon Ball Super may be ending its run this season, but don’t worry Dragon Ball fans, Goku will be back. In fact, he’s returning in a new Dragon Ball Super movie, and its official website just revealed a few details. This includes a new key visual featuring Son Goku himself, as well as the movie’s December 14 release date.
Mangaka Akira Toriyama isn’t just responsible for writing the anime movie’s script, bet he’s also working as its character designer. Meanwhile, One Piece Film Z’s Tatsuya Nagamine will be directing the movie over at Toei. Masako Nozawa, who has been voicing Goku for decades, will also be reprising her iconic role for the movie as well.
The Dragon Ball Super anime ends this season, with the new Gegege no Kitarou TV anime replacing it. However, while the TV anime is ending, the new movie will be continuing it, and the manga will also be ongoing. Expect the staff to reveal more details about the anime movie in the days to come.
