Zoids is back! Takara Tomy recently revealed a brand new entry to their Zoids franchise, and it’s called Zoids Wild. It will include several media franchises such as a Nintendo Switch game, a manga in Shogakukan’s CoroCoro Comic magazine, a smartphone app, a TV anime, and of course, new plastic model kits.

Norihiko Sudo (Pokemon Diamond and Pearl) will be directing the TV anime over at Oriental Light & Magic. And speaking of the TV anime, the announcement video also revealed the “ZW01 Wild Liger” and “ZW02 Gil Raptor” zoids in their anime versions and model kit versions.

During the program, they also revealed several other new Zoids plastic models, as well as the box arts for both the Wild Liger and Gil Raptor. They also revealed a large statue of the Wild Liger itself.

The Wild Liger and Gil Raptor model kits will be released in June 2018 for 3,000 yen each. Meanwhile, the TV anime itself will premiere in Summer 2018 via MBS in Japan. The manga will launch in April, and they will be making more announcements about the Nintendo Switch game in the days to come. As for the app, it will allow users to take pictures of their Zoids kits, edit them, and upload them online.
