The Seven Deadly Sins (not the sexy one, but the one with Melodias) is getting its own anime movie! Its title is The Seven Deadly Sins the Movie: Prisoners of the Sky, and now, its official website has revealed a new trailer. This new trailer introduces Melodias, Ban, and the rest of the Severn Deadly Sins, as well as the villain, Bellion.
The website also unveiled a brand new key visual featuring the movie’s characters. This includes the Seven Deadly Sins, Elizabeth, Hawke, and also new characters like Sorada, Ellatte, and Bellion.
The movie will feature a completely original story not found in the manga, and creator Nakaba Suzuki is writing the story himself. The Seven Deadly Sins the Movie: Prisoners of the Sky will premiere in Japan on August 18, 2018.
A-1 Pictures will animate the movie, much like the TV anime, with Noriyuki Abe serving as chief director, while Yasuto Nishikata is directing. Its original story will follow Melodias and Hawk as they journey to the Sky Palace to try and get a rare ingredient known as the Sky Fish. However, its winged residents capture and imprison them. But then, trouble Brews as the Demon Clan’s Six Knights of Black arrive and cause trouble for the Sky Palace. Specifically, they’re trying to revive the monster which attacks it every 3,000 years.
