Umamusume is currently one of the most popular that’s still airing anime today. It’s based on Cygames’ hit mobile game of the same name, which follows antropomorphic race horses, who are all based on real-life thoroughbreds. Recently, Famitsu visited Cygames and took a peek at how the magic happens. This includes how they use motion capture in order to do one of the games’ signature dance features.

Cygames’ new studio features a huge room where they’ve set up a huge motion capture studio filled with cameras to capture dances in high resolution. They then digitize these images and voila! The dancers then become Umamusume’s horse girls!

Famitsu released the video in accordance with the magazine’s June 28 edition which takes a look at Cygames. They are also taking a look at their Umamusume game for the issue. As for the TV anime, it’s currently airing as part of the spring 2018 anime season.
